English vs. American Labs

Many people ask me what is the difference between English and American labs. I have never owned an American lab, but I know many people who have them. Personally, I have always admired the English labs. They are beautiful, stocky labs and their coats are thicker. A soft, cuddlier and always looking to please. And great, great with kids. I find English labs to have a more calming temperament; not as energetic as an American lab. American labs are bred to be field dogs, so bred to have more energy. I'm going lean on choosing an English lab over and American lab, but everyone has their own preference.
